Amira Saim is a Venezuelan journalist specializing in fashion. She received a degree in Social Communication from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 2009. Upon completing her studies, Saim worked as a creative producer for the AXN, Sony Entertainment Television, and Animax channels. In 2009, she began writing a weekly column for Revista EME on fashion trends, and in 2010, she moved to Madrid to pursue a Master’s Degree in Fashion Communication at the Instituto Europeo di Design. During this time, Saim had the opportunity to work in the PR firm EMBLEM—specializing in fashion and luxury brands—and subsequently joined the Fashion Department of Harper’s Bazaar España. Since her return to Venezuela in 2011, Saim has continued to be involved in projects related to fashion. That same year, she started Dresscodemag.com, a web magazine dedicated to Venezeulan and international fashion, through which she wrote editorials that were published in the Sunday magazine supplement Todo en Domingo. Saim also worked in the PR firm Peral Events, and has written for important publications like Ocean Drive, Debates IESA, and Complot Magazine, as well as for the recognized web portal Prodavinci.com.
