Elena Damiani

Elena Damiani studied Architecture at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and later graduated from the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes Corriente Alterna in Plastic Arts in 2005. She received her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2010. She currently lives and works in London.

Her recent solo exhibitions include: All the Pieces Back Together at the Selma Feriani Gallery, London in 2013; Le Chambre at the Elaine Levy Project, Brussels in 2013; Historia se descompone en imágenes no en historias at Revolver Galería, Lima in 2012; The Second Treasury of Stanleth, Selma Feriani Gallery, London in 2011; Vanishing Point Vantage Point at Galerie Dohyang Lee in Paris, 2011.

Some of her recent group exhibitions include: the 9th Bienal do Mercosul, Weather Permitting in Porto Alegre, 2013; Ciclorama at Museo Tamayo, Mexico City in 2013; Materia prima at Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, Quito in 2013; Bajo el sol de la muerte at the Galería Espacio Mínimo, Madrid in 2013; Culturas en tránsito. Panorámica del videoarte en Perú at the Centro Cultural de España, Santiago and Montevideo in 2012; Reading Complex Act IV: Sans Titre at the Government Art Collection, London in 2012; and the ICI itinerant exhibition Project 35 Volume 2 in 2012–2014.
