Frank Báez is a Dominican poet. He is the author of the books of poetry Postales and Anoche soñé que era un DJ, among others, and has also published narrative books and chronicles. Báez won the Premio Internacional de Cuento Joven at the Feria Internacional del Libro in 2007 and the Premio Nacional de Poesía Salomé Ureña in 2009.
Báez’s poetry has been translated into English and Arabic and part-translated into French, Italian, Swedish, and German, among others. His work is included in the anthology El Canon Abierto which brings together the most relevant poets of the Spanish language born after 1970. Báez is editor of the magazine Global, the poetry magazine Ping Pong, and he is a member of the collective El Hombrecito. His most recent publication is La trilogía de los festivales.
