Suwon Lee

Suwon Lee (Caracas, 1977) lives and works in Caracas, Venezuela. She studied photography in Paris and with Nelson Garrido in Venezuela and Axel Hütte in Spain, making various photo-journeys with the latter in Venezuela, Spain and Peru. Her most recent group shows include América Latina 1960-2013 at the Museo Amparo in Puebla (2014) and at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art Contemporain in Paris (2013), the 9a Bienal de Mercosur, Weather Permitting, in Porto Alegre (2013), Draft Urbanism, Biennial of the Americas, Denver, Colorado (2013), Post-Panamax, Diablo Rosso, Panama (2013), Voyage Voyage, Maison de l'Amérique Latine, Paris (2013), among others. 

Since 2005, she is the co-founder and co-director of the contemporary art space Oficina #1 located in Caracas.
