Exhibition Announcement: Museo Universidad de Navarra
Works from the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros’s (CPPC) donation to the Museo Universidad de Navarra (MUN) in Pamplona, Spain, will be the subject of the exhibition Intermedia. Escribir la imagen, crear la palabra, curated by students from the 2021 cohort of the University’s Master in Curatorial Studies. The show will be on view at MUN September 8–October 16, 2022. This exhibition is a product of the 2018 donation of 49 photographic artworks, mostly by Latin American artists from the 20th and 21st centuries, which proposed the works be studied by students of the Master in Curatorial Studies, the only postgraduate course in Spain for the academic training of art curators.
Intermedia. Escribir la imagen, crear la palabra was selected from four fully developed exhibition proposals recently presented during the thesis defense of the 2021 Master’s in Curatorial Studies cohort. This program was overseen by Director and professor of the Master’s program Nieves Acedo del Barrio and professor of the Master’s and Senior Advisor to the CPPC, Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro.
Museo Universidad de Navarra’s upcoming exhibition champions the CPPC’s deep commitment to education and continues its tradition of extensive collaboration with universities and their museums including Harvard, NYU, University of Texas at Austin, CUNY Hunter College, and Wheaton College among others.
