Film Screening Series: Cine a cielo abierto

Centro de Arte Los Galpones joins the Seminario Fundación Cisneros with a special film program Cine a Cielo Abierto, curated by Camilo Cortés, where they will highlight the different viewpoints of the traveler who moves based on interests that can be reversed by unexpected situations, shaping experiences subject to encounters with landscape.

Synopsis:

The movie tells the story of the 4,500 film negatives that the photographers Robert Capa, Gerda Taro and David "Chim" Seymour took during the Spanish Civil War, that then disappeared and were eventually recovered seventy years later in Mexico Cty. The movie uncovers the role that Mexico played during the Civil War and its support for the Republic in exile, and reveals how Spain is currently facing its own past, thirty years after the Transition.
